What else we’re drinking

This week we are drinking a BIG beer.  This one has been aging for a few months and it’s certainly been worth it.  This weeks beer is Monster Ale from Brooklyn Brewery.  This style of beer is considered an English Barleywine, what that means is it takes a lot of grain to brew and that produces a lot of alcohol.  This one sits at 10.1% and definitely has a kick to it.  We don’t suggest having more than 1 at a time  (ok maybe 2 would be good) and take it slow, this thing packs a punch.  This is one of the better Barleywines we’ve had and it’s another winner from Brooklyn Brewery.  It pours clear with a slightly red color, very little head and a slightly sweet taste.  We’ll enjoy this six pack over the next year, just in time for next years version to come out.
